AutoCAD Designer Leesville, SC

We are looking for a Full Time AutoCAD Designer/Detailer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing/detailing steel storage tanks and foundations, creating detailed drawings and specifications, and ensuring that all designs meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in structures, excellent problem-solving skills , and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop products using ACAD software
  • Analyze customer needs and develop project designs
  • Be familiar with steel fabrication and welded structures
  • Provide support drawings/details for our Sales Engineers, the Fabrication Shop, Safety and Field Crews
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, customers, Sales Engineers and Project Managers to ensure the product meets customer needs.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent (preferred)
  • AutoCAD – 2 years experience (preferred)

CNC Operator Leesville, SC

As a CNC Plasma Operator, you will use various tools to set-up and operate the plasma table. Additionally, you will coordinate with Engineering/Programming to setup and run production orders. To be successful you will need basic blueprint reading skills while understanding specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances. You will also need working knowledge of metrology instruments (calipers, micrometers, ruler, and height gauge).

Responsibilities

  • Use a plasma cutting machine to cut material to be fabricated for assemblies.
  • Set-up and operates CNC Plasma Table
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Programming to upload programs to machine
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, grinders, and bevellers
  • Read basic blueprints – understanding specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • De-burr, grind and finish with hand tools or power-driven equipment
  • Produce high quality work and achieve tight tolerances to fixtures and engineered drawings
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required
  • Confirm dimension of X – plates and to locate material according to engineering logistics
  • Sage and control movement of material flow in shop
  • Program machine to engineering specifications
  • Have/develop extensive knowledge of operator’s manual
  • Prepare recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality
  • Demonstrate leaderships skills by leading and managing a work-cell operation

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience with CNC Plasma or CNC Machine operation

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with plasma and oxy fuel cutting torches.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all PPE as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required.

  • Roll Shell Plate as needed to keep transfer table full
  • When transfer table is full, flip plate in Load out area and support moving empty carts to Wheelabrator area
  • Support in loading trucks going out
  • Support unloading plate trucks coming in
  • Support Shipping and Receiving in measurements of plates as they are received and staged
  • Ensure all Stainless Plate is covered when not being used
  • Clean up around Plate Roller daily and keep area clean and safe

Additional duties as needed:

  • May be asked to support Spotting/Moving carts from Load Out area or Paint Booth as needed
  • In slow times, may be asked to support with weld repairs on
    plates or welding of lifting lugs (if person has welding certs)

Fabricator/Welder

This candidate must have experience in pipe fabrication and welding, however, this is not a boilermaker position as all the welding is done in a flat position on positioners and rollers. The candidate will be able to follow verbal and written communication well, have strong safety awareness, and have a strong desire to meet Quality and Productivity standards.

  • Fit and weld various sized carbon and stainless pipe flanges.
  • Fit and weld various sized carbon and stainless pipe to pipe while using basic fit up techniques.
  • Read a tape measure down to 1/16.”

Maintenance Repair Worker Supervisor Atascadero, CA

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking maintenance supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving and loading construction equipment, operating industrial forklifts, and performing manual material handling tasks in an outdoor work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced setting. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic inspections and maintenance of equipment as needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment, estimates repair costs, and order supplies as needed.
  • Operate industrial forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Perform manual material handling, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Climb ladders and work in physically demanding outdoor conditions for 8-hour shifts.
  • Assist with general yard organization and maintenance.
  • Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company safety protocols.
  • Willingness to travel to jobsites and perform maintenance and repairs on construction equipment. Some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of API above ground storage tank erection is a plus.
  • Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or yard operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel equipment maintenance and electrical equipment maintenance is a plus. Ability to perform repairs to flatbed trailers, brakes, airlines, etc….
  • Experience operating industrial forklifts (certification a plus).
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Welding experience is required.
  • OSHA safety training and forklift training are a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug test.
  • Trade school or technical school certificates are a plus.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in construction or industrial environments who enjoys physical work and operating equipment.   A minimum of 5 years of work experience is preferred.   Pay range for this position will be based on experience, with a range between $30.00 -$38.00 per hour. Traveling Field Painter US Jobsites

Fisher Tank Company operates a Coatings Division that provides expert field painting services for field erected welded steel storage tanks as well as for other industrial applications. Our Coatings Division team works across the country in a variety of facilities.

Job Duties

  • Maintaining and repairing industrial paint and sand blasting equipment (generators, paint sprayers, blast pots, air compressors, etc.)
  • Surface preparation for coatings
  • Painting surfaces using various tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns
  • Rigging platforms on tanks or other structures to be painted
  • Performing regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized jobsite and job trailer
  • Communicating with foreman regularly regarding tasks and procedures
  • Working safely according to Fisher Tank Company Safety Program

Requirements

  • Travel to jobsites across the country is required
  • Effective communication within the Coatings Division as well as other areas of the company is essential
  • Mechanical interests and abilities are key
